International Policy

We call for the closing of all U.S. millitary facilities at home and abroad that train foreign millitary and para millitary personell.

We call for an immediate and unconditional withdraw of American forces from Iraq and Afghanistan

We call for the disbanding of NATO and America's withdrawal from all other agressive millitary alliances.

We support a Constitutional amendment requiring a vote of the American people on all declarations of war and millitary inrevention

We call for a reduction in the millitary budget

Labor

We support the right of all workers to form a union with no limits on the subjects upon which employees and unions may bargain with employers.

We support the right of public and private sector employees to strike.

We call for the recognition of unions based on cards signed.

We call for unions to be run democratically by their membership, and to be independent of employer deomination and influence

We support the right of all self representation and collective actions regardless of union status.

We call for the same benefits of part time workers as full time workers

We call for a 30 hour work week with no loss of pay, and 6 weeks annual paid vacation.

We encourage  unions to stop using funds for the campaigns of Democratic and Republican politicians.

Economics

We call for America's withdrawal from NAFTA and CAFTA.

We call for worker and community ownership and control of corporations within the framework of a decentralized and democratically determined economic plan.

We call for a $15 minimum wage, indexed to the cost of living.

We support a highly progressive tax system and oppose any and all regressives taxes (i.e. payroll tax, sales tax, property taxes)

We call for a progressive capital gains and luxury tax.

We call for an end to any and all forms of corporate welfare.

Civil Rights/Human Rights/Human Needs

We support a single payer universal healthcare system.

We call for an end to all anti-gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender laws in the workplace.

We support the repeal of all sodomy laws.

We call for the legalization of same-sex marriage as protected under the 14th amendment to the Constitution of the United States

We call for a federal ban on all forms of discrimination based on sexual orientation, and for the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

We strongly oppose racial discriminiation in the work place and in schools.

We fully support the right of women to choose to have an abortion without intererence or coercion.  We support women, doctors and abortion clinics protection under the law, and we call for strict punishments for those who attempt to infringe on the abortion rights.

We call for the repeal of the Hyde Amendment and all other legisltaion that restricts abortion rights.  We demand full reproductive rights for all women.

We demand the decriminalization of prostitution and that prostitutes be ensured the same rights as all other workers.

We call for the legalization of marijuana and the end of the War on Drugs.

We support strict limits on how personal funds can be used for political campaigns.

We call for one voting system to be used across the country to combat election fraud.

Environment/Energy

We call for the protection of endangered species and the protection of the environment.

We call for limits placed on carbon emissions which will reduce carbon emissions by atleast 40% in the next 10 years

We call for the development of alternative energy such as solar, geothermal, wind, hydropower, and biomass is order to both protect the environment, and end America's dependence on foreign oil.

Food/Drugs

We call for strict oversight of the farming industry to enure that plants and meat are safe for the public.

We call for the creation of a democratically controlled federal agency to inspect food for public health.

We call for strict penalties on any company that knowingly endangers the health of the public.

We call for a total ban of genetically engineered crops.

We call for and end to corporate farms, support existing state bans on corporate farms and a federal ban on corporate farms.

We call for stronger regulation of the food industry so that safe, healthy food can be available to all.

We call for strict regulation of the drug industry so that effective, safe medicine can be available to all.

Animal Rights

We call for better protection of endangered species and their habitats.

We strongly oppose all forms of animal abuse and animal cruelty.
