I was out playing around with a friend, talking about politics and the like, until I got home and turned on the news, then it really didn't matter if you were republican or democrat.
I was at work. I work for the federal government at a small agency within the Dept of Commerce. By noon, we had "orders" to leave work and go home. My co-worker and I headed out the door, and on the way to our vehicles, we looked at each other and concluded that, there was no way we were going to be "sent home" because of this. No way. We ignored the order and returned to work and worked our balls off for the rest of the day.
Heh. Like Lucky, I was in bed. My earliest class wasn't that early so I usually slept in on Tuesdays... when my alarm went off, they said something about the Pentagon. I jumped up and turned on the TV. The 4th plane was still in the air and there was still confusion about what was going on.
I was laying in bed watching tv and was half asleep half awake .... until the second plane hit .... and then it dawned on me that this wasn't a dream.
I wa sstanding in my kitchen preparing to leave for work. I seen it on the morning news (Fox and Friends) and couldn't believe my eyes. At first I thought it was a promo for a new Bruce Willis movie, then I realized we had been attacked. I remember saying a short prayer and calling my dad. My dad was cionfused about the whole thing, he was nearing the end and was battling dimensia (not sure about that spelling). I was happy to hear his voice anyway. I hope we all remember how we felt that day, I hope we never forget!
i was in 6th grade. they were sending us home early for our parents to tell us what had happened. the school thought it was best to let our parents tell us.
i was in my living room
I was in school mass. They someone came in and the pastor announced it during his homely
I was in D.C. waiting to go on a trip to the senate... that was obviously cancelled and spent the rest of the day on lock down.
In my college's library waiting for class.
I was at work when the corporate office in Omaha called to tell me the corporate computer communication system was shutting down because SAC (strategic air command)outside of Omaha was going on high alert. I asked why and the girl at the call desk simply said 'we've been attacked'.
