What Takes More Energy, Putting The Toilet Seat Down or Bitching About It For 3 Hours?

Ok, so you're wondering what the hell I am writing a blog about a toilet seat for. One has to look no further for an answer than to look back on recent blogs and conversations on U4prez.

Before you start to ask, "Where are you going with this Smashey?", let me explain it to you..........

We have problems in this country. Problems that if not addressed will impact each and every one of us for years to come. We have major national debt and a deficit that is at a record high. We have volitile situations in the Middle East and the Far East. Unemployment is at a 26 year high. States are going bankrupt and the list goes on.

So I beg to ask the question, why the hell do we continue to bitch and complain about things that are not pertinent to the current situation?????

So some have questions surrounding Obama's birth certificate. Which of the problems above gets solved if people are complaining about something insignificant to the issues? He is the President. The outcome of the election will not change.

Some have issue with what Rush Limbaugh says on the radio. Why is the commentary of a radio talk show host pertinent? Will calling Rush Limbaugh and everyone who listens to him an idiot create any jobs in this country? He is a radio host. He can fix no issues.

Some have questions regrding the religious views of President Obama. Is he a Muslim? Is he a Christian? I don't know, do you know, who knows? The answer is, who gives a shit? Again, he is the President. The outcome of the election will not change.

I could go on and on with this but it's late and to be honest this blog, like the ones mentioned above, isn't adding any value.

The bottom line is, we can all waste our time as citizens of this country bitching a arguing about things we can't control and even if we could control them, they have no positive impact on issues we as a country are facing. Or we can put our heads together and debate the issues of the day. The issues that together we can impact. The issues that make a difference in the lives of every citizen in the good ol' USA. Because to be honest the non-value added bullshit that has been the topic of discussion as of late is a sad testimonial to where the heads of the American people are.

A blog about a toilet seat would not have been complete without a comment from a guy named "Wiz". LOL.
Your comments here are right on Kempite. There are issues that are more pressing than a debate on the Presidents religion or a debate on his birth certificate or a debate on what Rush Limbaugh said last night. To be honest it cheapens the credibility of those who chose to pursue that avenue and strengthens the opposition.
Just get your woman to allow you to piss in the sink. Solves all the problems. Except that piss kinda ruins the chrome on the drain. Get a brass drain. Pissing in the sink solves two problems. The first is the toilet seat thing. Second it saves lots of time while shaving or brushing teeth. Just hang it over the side and go about your bussiness. Saves on water too.
my house we close the lid. we shit there, who wants to stare at a shit hole. I don't nor do i want it staring at me. lid and all get closed, if yo don't like it, either tie it in a knot or stick a cork in it.
I just piss in the back yard. Problem solved.
I actually prefer to shut the lid of the toilet too because even clean toilet bowl water is kind of gross to look at. I know, I know its clean water but it is like the BSA Leave No Trace Policy. You know somebody has probably camped in that campsite before, you just don't want to see any traces of it so its best to shut the lid and all.
OH MY GOSH, IMAGINE! THAT JUST MADE MY DAY!
NO, the American people chose a guy that promised tax cuts to 95% of them. Obama did not campaign saying that he was going to take over private business and completely tank the economy.
Obama is a Muslim Kenyan Socialist. That should make you really hate yourself, Rob. The vast majority of America chose a black, muslim, Kenyan socialist over your party.
smashey- once again i have to say excellent blog. your mix of humor and blunt statements would make you an excellent comedian. I have to ask again for those that keep claiming that Obama is a socialist and a muslim- How is that possible?? or do you just like to throw those accusations around??
erock how in the hell would you read that quote and think I am talking about Obama. " I myself would vote for a Muslim if he thought the same way I did and didn’t want to run this country by Sharia law." Meaning- I would vote for a Muslim if he didnt want to run the country by Sharia Law. I dont see why you cannot see that. I also agree with Kemps post. I do feel this is an issue that will need to be proven to end the discussion. This argument was relevant last night when I was debating BD and today it was brought up by Smashey.
I agree with Kemp well spoken.
Although I agree with the premiss of this post there are one point I feel is worthy of disputing. In regards to the President's birth certificate,to write " He is the President. The outcome of the election will not change" is a bit off. If the "outcome" were to prove that the President's birth certificate was falsified and that he was born in a foreign nation, the outcome of the election could be altered in that the President woyuld not be eligible of continuing in the office of President. However, back to the point of Smashey's post, the birth certificate issue does not merit focus by Republicans. There are some very tenacious people pursuing this issue and they will continue to do so. As Republicans, we should let them continue taking on what they feel is important while we take on what is important and our ultimate purpose.........the actual legislative issues affecting our lives. For any Republican to focus on the birth certificate question at the expense of the issues that have an impact on our nation's enduring stregnth, is a ludicrous waste of time that distracts us and gives the loyal opposition an upper hand.
You seem to be implying that Obama who does not think like you does seem to want that. U should word that more carefully. But as Smashey raises a good point I am going to find more pressing matters to talk about.
With typical efficiency and equality for all, my wife and I solved this issue. We both fully close the toilet after use, which means we both have to always lift something and close something. Solutions to problems are easy if you are willing to accept that you can't always get your way, but you can make things equal for all with no special rights or conditions for any. ----- We could have gone Libertarian and everyone could have left the toilet however they last used it and while that would have worked, it might breed resentment if one party felt that it was having to adjust the toilet more often than others. We could have gone Democrat and instituted a gender protection affirmative action program whereby the male always had to reset the toilet to the preferred setting for a female, but that is certainly not equal treatment under the law. We could have gone Socialist and then there would only be one setting and we'd all be forced to sit down the same way for everything, but I like the freedom to stand. We could have gone Green, but then we'd have been squatting over a hole in a compost heap and who wants to do that in the winter? So, we solved our problem in a conservative constitutionalist Republican manner that was fair for all although perhaps not the most convenient for any one single segment of the population.
come on now....
" I myself would vote for a Muslim if he thought the same way I did and didn’t want to run this country by Sharia law."
I didnt say that erock...read before comment
I agree with this blog 100%. We have real issues to be talking about. As for the Birth Certificat yawnnnnnnnnnn.Proven by whom? The FBI? Or some other crediable source? Also just out of curosity where has Obama said he wants to put the US under Sharia law....... come on now.
Smashey if you don’t know where I stand on Obama’s socialist issues then you have been gone or just ignored a lot of my posts here. I thought the point of this blog was to stop “bitching” about Obama’s birthplace and/or religion. Let me clear up a little misconception about MY argument for both. I do not care if he is a Muslim. I just want him to be honest with his beliefs from the day of his running for office. We are fighting islamo-facists and I am sure the election would have went a different rout if he brought this way of thinking out during the election. I myself would vote for a Muslim if he thought the same way I did and didn’t want to run this country by Sharia law. The fact is he hasn’t accounted for a lot of his history just as McCain had to and any other presidential candidate. All of these things are coming out now after he is president. The fact also remains he has not yet provided a Legal birth certificate that he says is locked in a vault. When I say birth certificate I mean that little paper that says what hospital you were born in and what Dr. performed. This has not been proven and I will fight until that is brought out because until then- he is just a holder of office and not a true president. That “certificate of live birth” has proven to be tampered with as far as the stamp and Hawaii seal. I am not some loon wanting to kick him out of office. I just want to see the same birth certificate that I will need to give when I am asked.

I believe SR that there are some here that believe Obama is a Muslim. I am not a supporter of Obama and think his policies are doing a massive amount of damage, however I will not attack his religious beliefs no matter what they are. Not all Muslims are radical islamists just as all Republicans are are not Christian theocrats just as all southerners are not members of the KKK just as all Russians don't drink Vodka, etc, etc. RD mentioned 'socialist policies' here. However, playing into the point of the blog, he doesn't challenge 1 point of an Obama policy. He merely questions his birth. What is more productive, discussing a persons policy stances or challenging where they were born?
Not sure what this is al about but Rob Diesel has scrambled my brain with this comment - But if it wa found that he was born here - all the socialist policies he has passed will be void. I will assume that you are speaking of the President. I think it has been found he was born here first off and what socialist policies has he passed? Not to attack your beliefs here brutha but come on man, do you actually believe all that Obamas a Muslim mumbo jumbo?
You can talk about whatever you want Imagine. The intent of this blog is not to censor or dictate what I think should be the subject matter of the conversation. My point is the main focus and ONLY focus of some of the candidates on here seems to be subject matter that never has anything to do with the actual issues. A debate about non-pertinent issues sometimes is a welcome change of pace. It is those who's ONLY contribution to the site is either partisam attacks on personal issues or non-value added religious debate that I am speaking to here.
Like this blog- But if it is found that he was born here- all the socialist policies he passed will be void. I dont want removed in this fashion at all, but I want the truth and it is very troubling that this coverup has gone on for years and everyone, like sheep, are going along with it.
So all we can talk about it the economy and the middle east? And you want to know where the heads of the American people are? Up their asses.
