Anytime Mr. Smashey.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. It is times like these that sometimes wake us up to the reality that we are all human beings regardless of our differences. Don't feel much like debating today, just wanted to say thank you.
those are undeniably true words deserving of paying attention to.
It is up to us to make sure that he did not give his life in vain. Whatever political differences we may have or views on the war itself, on that point we should all be in complete unanimity.
Your friend is a hero, ready for heaven, for he walked among death, and chose life. He chose to fight, and in the end, he lives on, in heaven, and in memory on Earth, reminding us of horror, but also of humanity. May the words of immortal God forever confort your friend, his family, you, and your family, for he is a Hero, and as such, He will forever be remembered as one. He died for his nation, his freedoms, and he died defending us, and those that would refuse those freedoms. We the people, are forever, and dutifully grateful for the sacrifice made by your heroic friend. May all militaries of the world, fall silent some day, and never fire a shot again, for it is that dream, which inspires all men, to resolve differences, rather than divide and fight. Forever he will be remembered, as a hero, and as a human, paying the ultimate price, for others he does not know, and would never know, until that fateful day come, and we all meet one another. God bless you, your friend, and both of your families for the sacrifices made.
In my reaction to this post I find that no words can suffice, all prayers seem not enough and any tribute seemingly falls short of providing enough homage to a hero who for the sake of freedom and a more secure and civilized world has made the ultimate sacrifice. God bless.
your friend is a hero.
