21 Million Dollar Obama Painting Could Be Yours

kempite
Internationally renowned artist, Anthony Falbo, recently brought current events to canvas by painting the work depicted above, which he calls “President Obama, Change”. Subsequently, he placed it in his gallery, took a few pictures and put the painting on eBay

The “Buy It Now” price is 21 million dollars.

Less learned observers of art history and technique, like myself, may describe his work as bold, colorful and in some cases, cartoon-like. Art experts and connoisseurs however, consider Falbo’s works to be innovative strokes of genius that combine cubism and abstractionism into an art fusion style called cubestraction. Such officianados claim that Falbo’s creations are all about color and composition and that his use of cubestration catapults him into an endless universe of creativity and freedom of expression.

If you listen closely, you can almost hear Dr. Frasier Crane go into a poetically verbose description to his brother Niles about his latest high priced and highly prized artistic acquisition from Seattle’s Le Cigare Volone .

As for me, I take nothing away from Anthony Falbo. In fact I give him a great deal of credit. I can’t paint a lick for my life and although, I can’t vouch for technical merit either, I find his work good for what it is. But in addition to his apparent artistic ability is his financial savvy.

Falbo’s timing is perfect. President Obama is in the midst of a political honeymoon and although his approval ratings are slipping at a rate much faster than his predecessor ‘s were during this same point in time of his administration, they are still relatively high. So now is as good a time as ever for Falbo to try to make a hefty profit for “President Obama, Change”. What makes now an especially good time is the fact that the paintings subject has not yet had the opportunity to implement all his new tax policies. Once his hikes join with the proposed increases of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, Anthony Falbo might only make a few cents on each dollar he does sell it for. So its now or never.

Now some of you may feel that 21 million dollars is a little pricey and although it may be a bit steep, Falbo is not totally unrealistic about things.

On the auction page, he lets us know that the suggetsed retail value is 1 million dollars so he will consider a “best offer”, so long as it is above 19 thousand dollars.

Falbo states, that anything below that price will not be taken seriously.

The funny thing about it is, despite all the discussion over tough economic times, I bet Anthony Falbo’s “President Obama, Change” will actually fetch quite a handsome price.

In between their feigned concern for the working class, the rich, hoity-toity, New York Times, culturally elite, liberal snob types are salivating over this one of a kind piece of art. Despite their self proclaimed support for the average man, bourgeois, leftist, hypocrites are falling allover themselves to own a “Falbo” creation depicting the worlds greatest contemporary liberal icon.

It will be interesting to see just how much the painting grabs. It will be even more interesting to see the liberal who will drop tens of thousands, if not millions of dollars, on an Obama painting, while at the same time, they tell us how concerned they are for those less fortunate.

That's the beauty of a sales tax, if you want to buy that TV you gotta opay the tax and it's about the only tax that can be collected from the otherwise nontaxpaying lower income peoples - who should pay something.
They are getting the wink and nudge from Obama. You think they will pay for anything they can get out of?
yeah, I'm not a socialist, but the health insurance industry should be socialized. So while I don't believe in purely socialized medicine, like England, I believe the payment system should be run by the government for the benefit of all. They already pay for 65% of all health care in this country but it mostly benefits non-taxpayers. I also believe there should be a National Sales Tax instituded to help pay for a National Health Insurance so that EVERYBODY has a hand in payiong for it, including illegal aliens
STrike that last post I meant, and my mouse meantIf we had a single payer health insurance scheme in this country, you wouldn't need a seperate, bloated, inneffective VA health system posted by fatngassy on 03/18/2009 @ 5:18 PM we would be well on our way to socialism
The GOP of the last 8 years has expanded the federal government, wrecked the US armed forces, increased the size of the national debt and failed to show leadership either at home or on the international level. We would be well on our way to socialism

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Thanks, President Obama. My stock account is climbing nicely out of the hole President Bush left me in.

Can you say dictator?
Well I doubt that Congress will allow Obama to really make any cuts to the VA system. That would be a death vote. U really need to wonder what was going through Obama's head at that point.
Well now there will be no red tape to get around.
the major problem with the VA system is red tape it has great care but thats if you can get around the red tape.
What is funny is that next to Obama, Ron Paul recieved the most donations from troops serving in the US Armed forces.
Even a Marine can make a mistake once. LOL
my fiance did vote for obama- i just like to throw that in there. i am not one of those Obama people who love him blindly. i know he has faults but i didnt like john Mccain much either and after he picked sara palin i was even more upset. the best men dont run for office b/c they are too smart to do that to themselves. i do have previous experience with obama- i am from IL and worked on his senate campaign so for me it is a little different being that i have known him longer then most. I will say this- the VA system was messed up before Obama- i watched my fiance deal with them on many occasions- and he served 2 tours in Iraq- i think it is disgusting that he had to call 6 different numbers and get 6 different answers. the whole process needs fixing.- obama is probably not the man to do it, but neither were reagan, bush, clinton or the other bush.
I would goddamned well expect you too, as well as you husband.Start looking at the personality profile of your candidate and see what he is from an impersonal, objective view.My problem with him in the beginning was "CHANGE CHANGE" well not all change is for the good.
from my understanding Obama has nothing to do with this painting business other then his likeness being used. I am marrying a marine- so before you jump to conclusions about me- let me make myself very clear- veterans issues are incredibly importnat to me and my family. from the looks of this recent idea- i am not happy- but i am also trying to figure out the rationale before i call for his head on a silver platter. the few articles i have read didnt give sufficient info for me. if it this passes i will be very upset and will go with you to DC to protest.
Let me ask you this KT (I will ignore erocks childishness as well) when was the last president to use painting of himself to promote himself? he plays like a used car salesman. I served 20+ yrs and he threw all of us under the buss. What "change" is sufficiant to discount the blood of the very men who gave you the freedom?
i just didnt think the response was justified- i try my hardest to be civil and engage people. i sometimes fail an lose my cool but i see no need to behave like bratty children. and erock i wouldnt kick his butt- it is not in my nature:)
I am pretty sure Kt can kick your butt at politics.
How is that rude? Maybe you should stay out of politics if thats "rude" you aren't suited for it. Unless that is if your a queen of a provence
ooh i would also add that some of us "poor" liberals donate money as well.....
rich people buy silly things all of the time (ever watch cribs) i just dont see this as an issue. i just find it funny that GRRR had to make a rude comment when i was trying to point out that rich people in general buy some silly things. ( i want a louis vuitton bag for my dog- oh i should probably get a dog first-lol)

I would add that for the bashing of rich liberals many of them donate millions to different causes and spend time talking about and helping out many different causes. Yea sure I think this is a crappy piece of art and I would never pay this much for it but hey the guy thinks he can get a good offer.
im not surprised that you would have a rude comment. if the guy thinks he can get that kind of money for it then so be it- i for one would never pay anything close to that for art (luckily i have a sister who is amazing) so i dont have to pay for it.
I'm not surprized you don't get it KT
can i please have the minute i took to read this back?? who cares- rich people buy all sorts of dumb things. why does john mccain need 7 houses? the elites of the world will alwats blow money on what we common folks consider stupid- but that is the joy of capitalism right??
