The massive tax increase surrounding the "climate change bill" has passed the congress. Obama's most adventurous economic gamble is now on its way to the Senate where Republican's have no voice to speak of.
The most interesting thing about this bill is the effect it will have on the working poor and middle class. Only 44 Democrats stood with working class Americans to try and stop the tax increase. In the end, it wasn't enough.
No longer can President Obama say he inherited a bad economy. It now belongs to him for better or worse. This radical change in American industry, manufacturing and energy policy will have profound effects for years to come.
In another broken campaign promise, only Democrat Nancy Pelosi read the bill according to some reports. Congressman John Boehner, Ohio Republican, tried desperately to at least allow for some debate on the measure, but was over ruled by Democrats anxious to stick heavy tax increases on many of the companies the taxpayers just spent billions bailing out.
The stock market as a forward looking indicator is expected to trend down over the next several months as fallout of the bill becomes clear to investors.
The only question left is has Obama along with the liberal Democrats just opened the door for massive gains by Republicans in 2010, as the tax increase under Clinton did in 1994.

A Marxist by definition has no real solutions to economic power, it is simply power grabbing and redistribution. A true fascist skims off the top of privately owned enterprise. Obama leaned fascist for a short time, but has since abandoned all pretense and now yearns for nothing but naked power, at any cost.

I have no pity for the poor uneducated schlubs who bought the Democrat compassion line and voted this guy in. I've been saying for years that the Democrats are not the party of compassion and that their policies don't help the poor. Now we have even more proof. I do have pity for the poor educated schlubs who didn't vote for this guy but are going to lose their jobs anyway.
But hey, this is what people voted for. I said over and over again exactly what was going to happen if Obama was elected. Even I thought I was being alarmist at the time. Turns out I was 100% right.
Obama owned this economy when he started replacing CEOs and gift-wrapped Chrysler (with taxpayer bought wrapping paper) and gave it to the unions to sell overseas. Oh yeah, not to mention $1 trillion in pork crammed through congress without anyone reading the bill.
